Chef-Commandant Normande Chocolát intends to mount an expedition to penetrate the interior, for the glory of France.

His force is primarily composed of regular infantry, from the Chasseurs á Pied, Légion Étrangér, and Troupes de la Marine.
The Chef-Commandant has a range of local irregulars to draw on, including arab (and/or)askari infantry, berber light cavalry, and light artillery of an unconventionally mobile nature.

Chef-Commandant Chocolát is undeterred by the prospect of thick bush.

I've got two possibilities
- Austrians + sepoys and possibly a vanity Elephant (non combat)
or
- A well run independent West African kingdom - sort of Hausa style. Regular household cavalry, some trained rifles and some conscript natives.

If the latter, and if my other thought that I pm'd you about fall into place then I'd be very happy to be on the side of the good guys (that would be the indigenous forces) on either/both days

So that's all very vague. I take inspiration on decisiveness from Andy.

Force: AZW British themed
Name: Lt Colonel Cherry Cream-Fondant
Unusual: My fixed weapon will be a rocket battery, could use basic field gun stats but it would be more fun if they were less accurate but terrifying.
Borrow troops: Nope
Indigenous troops: Nope

Over lunch I’ve been thinking of the name for my AZW British commander. I’ve decided on Capt Harry Packer. At school he was a rotund little boy with a sweet tooth, so soon earned the nickname ‘Fudge’.

A force of Brunswickers (armed with Dreyse needle rifles and carbines) echoing early-19th Century alliances by teaming up with the British. Possibly two.

And, if time permits, the Franco-American Compagnie des Ingenieurs Archaeologiques for a spot of tomb-rob.....err, rescuing of cultural artefacts.
