Here are the photo's from the first game played Saturday 0930 - 1230.
Prussians Tim and Mark (Peeler).
Austrian / French Keith, Stuart and Phil.
The map
Austrian orders.
Prussian orders.
Charles Grant give me permission to use reference and photos to his fathers Molwitz game from "The Wargame" circa 1968/72.
The players used my "On The Hoof" one sheet rules, with orders using Steve's order system made by "Charlie Foxtrot Models".
Each side rolled for initiative (only effected who got damaged by artillery / musket fire first).
Then both sides give each brigade / battalion / regiment / battery orders. After all orders given, both sides then follow them.
The rules worked well and all I had to do was increase the movement of battalion guns and on Phil suggestion from 6 inches to 8 inches, orders could be given as brigade orders.
The forces were laid out as per Charles map as the whole premise of this game is troop movement on confined battlefield.
I will post a selection of photos to give a feel of the game and not do blow by blow account.
Some of the flags are made by me and some are by David at "Not by Appointment".
The game ran from 0930 - 1230 and a big thankyou to them all for their help, support and advice on sorting out
a few hiccups.
The Prussian near the end were putting a lot of pressure on the Austrian infantry but the Austrians had captured two of the three senior Prussian generals oops. so probably a draw.

Beautiful.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?
Re: Mollwitz Battle No 1 Kenilworth 2022.
I have to ask, what are those lumps of MDF for?
I can't see anything on the Charlie Foxtrot website, which is where I assume they came from?

They are for giving orders to battalions, brigades, batteries etc. Advance, fire, retire, wheel and so on, only one or two orders per turn per battalion etc.
Steve had them made by the owner of "Charlie Foxtrot models" as he is his mate.
I will ask Steve if they are going into production.

They certainly do. Uncomfortable, but D seems to like it.
