Anglo Danish Shieldwall Markers in Situ
Finally, I have the time to drop the Shieldwall markers post!
As usual, there are plenty of pictures, including the mass effect of having a few markers in front of a few units, and more detail on my Just Add Water Blog here:
http://justaddwater-bedford.blogspot.co ... rkers.html
As some may have gleaned, I'm not really a fan of clutter, chits or card/paper on the tabletop and to that end I have been slowly adding a number of Gripping Beast Shieldwall Markers from their Mid/Late Saxon range:

I was not that impressed with just one marker placed in front of a single unit, they seemed to command the view of the unit, dominating the scene. It was interesting to pull a few units out and get an idea of what they will look like en masse, when placed on front of a six/seven unit line on the tabletop.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with the results, they definitely look better to the fore of several units and not quite so dominant which was a relief!
Shieldwall Markers (The latest two, the tally is now three so plenty more to paint up):

Very nice, mate.
If "The System" is the answer, who asked such a bloody stupid question?
