Hamburger Stadtmilitär 1724-1757,

[Willz the Wargamer]

These were inspired from David's Blog "Not by Appointment" the Hamburger Stadtmilitär 1724-1757, using Spencer Smiths figures from my pre-painted stash.
A few artistic changes in the uniform but near enough for me.

Jean Luc entered the smoked filled bar of Mrs Miggins pie and ale shop, "ahoy there me old shipmate" shouted a stout fellow slumped across the bar. "Peter you old sea dog how's the business doing" replied Jean Luc, "crap" said Peter "I have 600 red, blue and yellow trimmed tea cossy's with no handle or spout holes, I will not make a profit on them"."Ah ha smiled Jean Luc moneys to be made here, "Peter I'll get rid of them for you on sale or return giving you 20% of my profit if I sell them". "Deal" smiled Peter, "two large reds please".
The next evening Jean Luc entered Mrs Miggins pie and ale shop spotting Peter sat down next to him, "hear you go 100 in silver for you Peter" "you sold them then" "of course smilled" Jean Luc, "you ever doubt it", "drinks on you". "More ale bellowed" Peter.

The Hamburger Stadtmilitär 1724-1757 battalion is now wearing cloth decorated red, blue and yellow mirte covers, designed to protect the brass front plates only removed for parades.

Sorry Iain I must have missed that, yes they are the hard plastic connoisseur range designed by Barry Minot.

Very nice, Willz. That's a nice-looking uniform, one I can't remember seeing before. The Hanseatic cities had some interesting flags and uniforms, didn't they? You've done the mitre fronts nicely, too.

I bought these already painted a while back, all I did was touch up the Flesh, red jackets, muskets, stocks, barrels and brass.
With a matt varnish prior to the metals and based them. Added the flags.
