You can save a total of £8 on the new rulebook and "Age of Vikings" supplement, and just £4 postage from Triple Helix.

Busy listening to Rich and Nick on the Meeples podcast. It is indeed any scale. No change in measuring scale unless you go below 15mm, then swap inches for centimeters. It does indeed sound like an excellent fun set of rules

Yes, got plenty of later stuff in 15mm so I decided to stick with that scale. I was hoping they would have a Matilda II but they only had the Matilda I, I'm not going to rack up tank kills with a Vickers machine gun.Paul wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 8:11 pm"Oooh, What a Tanker" Preparation ?Buff Orpington wrote: ↑Mon Mar 26, 2018 7:36 pm Popped into Chester Models for a couple of little tanks. The advantage of a good local store is that they can order stuff for me if I look up the catalogue This will be my primary route.

Well, you will - they'll just all be on your tank.Buff Orpington wrote: ↑Tue Mar 27, 2018 9:45 am I'm not going to rack up tank kills with a Vickers machine gun.

Did they mention owt about "getting started"? I've seen that the idea is to begin with a 'starter' tank and progress your crew (or crews) through the war building experience and progressing, if they want, to bigger and better armour. But what is a 'starter tank'? (Clearly they've been playing too much "Tanks of War" and wanted to translate it to the table top )Jeremy wrote: ↑Tue Mar 27, 2018 9:04 amBusy listening to Rich and Nick on the Meeples podcast. As a game I am sure it plays well but just does not appeal, I see a whole host of wargamers wanting to unleash their inner Wittmann or Pieper.
Re: What are people buying?
The 0.5" Vickers that a lot of the Matilda Is carried had a fair AT performance, enough to worry a PzI or early PzII. A bit of discussion here on TWW, http://www.thewargameswebsite.com/forum ... ing-table/Buff Orpington wrote: ↑Tue Mar 27, 2018 9:45 amYes, got plenty of later stuff in 15mm so I decided to stick with that scale. Re: What are people buying?
So you pick a year, say ‘41. You then consult the appropriate list and pick the worst tank. After 5 kills, you move up to the next tank. They say you could start the War in a PzII and end in a King Tiger if you do it right!Paul wrote: ↑Tue Mar 27, 2018 12:28 pmDid they mention owt about "getting started"? Interested to see the lists. I have a few tanks knocking around but i'm not keen on buying extras if they don't suit!
