Re: The Biscotti Wars
A very interesting project LT, keep us posted.
For a tooled-up monk, as it were, have a look at the Perry Carlist Wars armed clergy pack.
I have SP forces of mid-19th century Medetians (Piedmont/Savoy style) if you need some alternative opposition at some point.

Thanks, the Carlist pack looks interesting, I'll do a size comparison at the Derby show. I Always welcome alternative opposition. And Grappa, I always welcome Grappa.World2dave wrote: ↑Wed Oct 04, 2017 6:18 pm

I know a few holds myself.
No, wait - that's Agrippa, isn't it.

Re: The Biscotti Wars
The Florence reference is an good call Dave, I’m using my photos of Florence’s town hall and as you’ll see from the photo, San Miniato al Monte, which overlooks the city, as a guide for colour and decoration. My slightly hung-over memories might also come into play. BTW the church is very impressive but the Sacristy is amazing, Google images is your friend.
This is the Bussaco Convent made by Grand Manner in their Peninsula range. I bought it in a mad impetuous fit (encouraged I might add by the Baron Hardup in one of his more sadistic phases) about 20 years ago when Dave Bodley first released it.
I then hid it in the basement on the grounds that it’s a bit scary is what it is:
Firstly it’s bloody big and complex and, with all due respect to Dave (as some of the moulds for this must have been incredible and the design is intended to be quite flexible) not an exact fit.
Secondly, from the bits I’ve got it seems there might be a bit mislaid over the years as there’s a gap in the overall ‘square’ and it doesn’t quite look like the pictures on the site or in the war-game press. So I’m adding an extra building I bought off Paul a few years back and converting a bit of wall to fill in the gap.
Thirdly, it’s now OOP and the moulds have gone, so if I screw it up I’m photobukkit’d.
Oh, and it’s got to be ready for Salute - along with both armies and the terrain board.
Looking forward to it
