Eagle in the Snow is a great book I must admit.
Not a fan of McDonald Fraser myself, and the only Cornwalls I really enjoyed were his 100 years war ones.

Yeah, loved his Caesar and Genghis series. He’s started writing fantasy novels now. They’re also pretty good

I think the authors were tragically buried alive in Swampy's dugout when they finished the bypass.

Had my three choices but now wish I had said the Ronald Welch Carey series, especially For the King, Knight Crusader, and Captain of Dragoons.
