Anyway UN forces weren't all involved in such villainy. B Flight 84 Sqn, RAF Nicosia were more into misappropriation of government equipment and vehicle theft.
During the Turkish invasion in 74 their Land Rover fell victim to a strafing run by a Turkish F4. As all the Ministry of Public Buildings & Works had abandoned the place and fled south their vehicles were doing nothing. A quick respray and numberplate swap ensued. They were only rumbled when it went to Akrotiri for a service.
