I’d have said I was fairly organised and methodical except in two instances:
1. This year I found a complete Arab army for the Crusades, unpainted, despite the fact that I thought I’d sold off all unpainted Arabs. Fortunately with the release of the Lion Rampant Crusades book and the additional discovery of 12 painted Arabs I’d completely misplaced I’m now back in the Crusades.
2. I had a habit towards 3pm at shows of thinking I hadn’t spent enough and swanning around to do random purchases of shiny things. These then turn up in little zip lock bags, in completely unrelated project boxes, 3 years later to surprise me. The latest one was 12 home guard/VBCW types found in, yes, the Crusades box.

Re: Lost & found.
I tend to forget what I've bought so end up buying it again.......and again. I do it all the time. I'm currently wondering what to do with a large pile of Peter Pig German artillery crew.......which, so far, I've bought at least three times.
Re: Lost & found.
Having just had a massive clear out I found endless stuff I'd forgotten. Now all posted out to you lot.
Stuff I've kept include about 40 unpainted Soviet troops, stupidly ubdercoated in black, which i need to strip and reundercoat in white.
I'm hoping now everything is quite neat I won't get bogged down in endless unfinished business.

Just give them a light spray of white from above - instant pre-shading.

Re: Lost & found.
To the best of my knowledge, I've only ever done that once - with some Eureka French Revolution figures (the chasseur a cheval at the water fountain knocking out his pipe on his boot, whilst some old crone - waiting for a passing guillotine-with-victims to brighten up her day - looks daggers at him for being within a village boundary's length of her daughter who is doing the laundry in said fountain). And that may have been at least partly because I asked for the figure in mirliton and Nic sent me the guy in a Tarleton. Still, at least they all arrived via Nic's cherubic hand at successive Salutes - two lots of figures I can live with quite happily, two lots of eye-watering postage (plus the potential for a slumbering lethal creepy-crawly in each package), not so much.....

Re: Lost & found.
I did once discover that I had painted four flotillas of destroyers and about a quarter of the UK WWII cruiser fleet, not to mention most of the WWII german DD and CL fleet. I'd done it on a field break that was a bit busy in the middle of a very busy field sessilon.

Rules? You ask me what rules do I use. No, I don't do rules.
