Despite having a good defensive position atop the steep-sided Fickmuhlberg, Konigsegg decided to go for an immediate attack before his guns had had a chance to soften up the opposition.
He sounds like a typical wargamer - put him in the most impregnable defensive position ever devised and he will leave it, slog his way through the most inhospitable terrain, and attempt to assault an enemy that is bigger and better than him.
A fair assessment, I feel...
Here's a shot of the action:

Good photo, mate.
Why the impatience to attack, though, with all those lovely guns to use? Was Konigsegg under wifely/partnerly orders to get home by a certain time?

I think it stemmed from his impatience to get stuck in and a lack of understanding re the 'overhead fire' rules...

Funny you should say that... The new club venue has a very nice establishment 100 yards down the road...
Sadly however, I have a 45-minute drive to get home...

Impatient wargamers? Who would have imagined it....?

I know! Unbelievable...
Anyway, here's the unimaginitively-titled blog-post on the campaign. Battle of Munchengratz report to follow:
