Cheers Willz.
I'm not sure I'd want to place the blocks with the units, but I'm rather intrigued by the idea.
How does it work?

Re: Mollwitz Battle No 1 Kenilworth 2022.
The idea behind it was to be able to give unit orders.
I am not a huge fan of written orders but I like the concept of giving individual units or brigades orders, thus removing the god view and decision making of the gamer (ie I was going to move my brigade left but as you moved your unit that way I will counteract by doing that).
I first got the idea playing Xwing as the individual craft can be given orders and each player does not know what the other is ordering.
So I was going to use a dial casualty marker with symbols of orders ie A ( advance), A/F (advance and Fife), W (wheel) and so on about 10 orders. Then Steve had the MDF boards made and they work well. You can only give a maximum of two orders to an individual unit / brigade per turn.
Using my rules you dice for initiative (the use for this is to see who fires first and causes damage before receiving damage)
Then you give and place orders both sides then carry out movement orders, then artillery fire, then musket fire and then all melees are carried out.
I hope this helps Iain,
Willz.

Willz, lovely to see your figures on the table. The game looks a treat.
A conclusion in 3 hours? That's a decided + in anyone's estimation.

Excellent looking game. I am planning on doing Mollwitz using DBSYW once I have painted a few more units.
