Did you lay down a zenithal undercoat before using the Contrast?
It can make a huge difference and is really easy to do with a couple of rattle cans but with a dense colour like Leviadon Purple it's a bit less obvious.
I painted it over a silver basecoat to give it a bit of shine.

Yeah, I really love the new Horus Heresy stuff. Actually debating selling off most of my 40K.
