Very nice. I particularly like the basing.
So when are you starting the new rebasing exercise?
Any day now.

Splendid stuff, are the banners your own?
They are from Pete’s Flags, find them by eBay search. They come in 15 & 28mm sizes and cover several Medieval and renaissance theatres and periods. Hope that helps.
Thanks, they really add to the scene. Nice bases too.

Buff - I can thoroughly recommend Pete's Flags; he made four sheets of Henry VIII banners (he already had two or three sheets, which were not the key ones) entirely at the request of Stuart Mulligan (Army Royal blog) and me. You can't fault that kind of service.

Some TAG mounted crossbowmen. Not sold on the shooting sidewise pose myself.

Wonderfully colourful, and they will look a treat on your table. I really like the more irregular bases as well. I look forward to a battle report, and some gendarmes perhaps.

Not Gendarmes sadly Tim. A unit of foot crossbowmen in Papal service. Figures by TAG, pavise by Perry Miniatures ~

They look suitably dodgy for Condottieri !

lovely. Very effective yellows - the hardest of all the colours to paint in my opinion
