I have every sympathy for those who have to cope with far worse and/or more permanent disabilities than I have.
My former boss took a tumble down the stairs a few years back and is disabled from the neck down. More or less 24 hour support for him poor bugger. I keep in touch with him, he tells me that most things in life are designed for the able bodied without much thought for those in wheel chairs etc. Even when they do, the disabled are not really in the design loop.
Who would have thought a trip to the toilet would be so life changing?

It's terrifying when you think about it. My heart goes out to anyone who's had a serious lasting injury; and for those in pain too.
