EB, I put decals on the mitres of 18mm SYW figures and, on occasion, build 1/32 WWI aircraft- including making my own sparkplugs for the engines (proof below). So I don't think I can call anybody else a nutter just for adding a few shoulder knots.

A good point well made. And splendidly illustrated.
But now, of course, I'd very much like to see those mitres.
