VB, it's not uncommon for items shipped from Melbourne (books, models, paint, etc) to take two weeks to get here. Nic is usually quite a bit quicker, but OzPost still likes to give parcels from Melbourne a grand tour of the Hume highway, a visit to at least four out of the five sorting facilities in Sydney, a side trip to Canberra now and again, and finish with a card saying nobody was home, so go to the post office for your parcel- despite She Is Obeyed working from home and me reading on the front veranda for most of that day. Privatisation isn't the answer, though, if experience of service degradation and cost increases with other privatisations are any indication.valleyboy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 7:58 pm
My only experience of OZ postage is buying from Eureka and presumably if it gets privatised the enormously long time it takes to deliver anything to NZ might improve - because they might buy a van, give the plodding postman a bike and add a sail to the canoe that they use to cross the ditch with
Just be happy that you don't get a card asking you to please pick up your parcel- from a post office in Fiji.
