I would probably even give it a couple more inches.
You will do no such thing to my table legs you filthy little beggar. This isn’t Prussia you know
You know you’ve put on a good game when everyone’s sat down and the table rises.
🤔

Very helpful thoughts guys, well most of them anyway.
I think 85-90cm then, maybe a tiny bit more.

Yes Purps, the dedicated gaming room dream has happened!
You are cordially invited if you want to come over for a game, perhaps we can get the Goat here too.

Being imperial I would think 3ft (or 90cm if you must) is the ideal height. Kitchen tables are normally around 30 inches I think, which is too low. If I hadn't had access to a big dining table i'd have gone a bit higher.

Depends on the width. 1.5m wide, you can make it 90cm tall. 2m wide, you need it to be about 80cm so you can reach the middle.

Or have a tall friend.

Adjustable tables via the sort of trestle saw horse are the way to go. Then you can chose the height depending on circumstance. I’m sitting at a nice one right now, wood construction, very solid. B&Q do some nice ones that fold right down- those are the ones I use, light , easily storable and adjustable enough even for me.

My table is foldable trestle tables and much to low.
The table edges are just a dong fest.

I mean, I’d have everyone sat down on cute little salon chairs but there’s not enough width in my substandard games room for both chairs and a table.

But isn’t the whole of Lincolnshire a dong fest? And your house the capital?
