I also love rules with tables and charts, if they have comprehensive lists of modifiers as well, I'm happy.
I have never found a set of Lardies rules I like, despite owning pretty much everything they have produced.
I like Warhammer 40K, especially the new version.
I don't like Napoleonics much, SYW and AWI even less.
My favourite game is DBA.

Re: Wargames Shame Confession Booth
I love 6th Edition rules, mainly because of the tables. But haven't played them since the '80s.
I once played a 6th Edition game pitting Vikings against WW2 Germans.
I hate painting (But still have won quite a few painting competitions!)
In big multiplayer games I normally think of changing sides at least 3 times before they finish
I enjoyed DBM

Never played a "proper" ancients game.
And no, I do NOT count WotR as ancients.
Have used unpainted figures, albeit only with the other player's prior permission (and will be doing so on Saturday).
Not interested in "shinies" nor anything Victorian.
Not interested in 6mm.
Not interested in fantasy/sci-fi.

Probably a reflection of the people I play with/against.
