I've never been there but isn't Wayland Games supposed to be good? That's Hockley in Essex. They also have a shop in Southend (the old GW shop).

Cromer has an absolutely brilliant model/model railway/terrain/tool/PSC shop.

My favourite shop is Lawrence Matthews Art Supplies in Southend.......not great for wargaming stuff but it's an aladin's cave of art and modelling stuff.

They are good, mostly fantasy but they do have a large number of tables free to use. The Anti-Alchemists meet up there for trial games.

Access Models in Newark is quite good. Some wargames stuff (FoW particularly) but also plenty of paints and Testors Dullcote :clappy:

In South OZ there is only one: Military Hobbies, who've recently moved to within a 20 minute walk of my wallet.

There are some model railway shops, one aviation model and book shop and some good general hobby shops too, but MH lives up to it's name.

There's a wargames shop in Bridlington I havent managed to get to yet, it opens at odd days and times as the guys that run it have other jobs.

My haunts are:

Boyes for paints, putty, gloo, poxy resin.

Travelling Man Leeds or York, Leeds is better! For bored games and such.

Monk Bar Models in York for figures and tanks, was there but a few hours ago buying a Zvesda 1/100 scale Sherman for £3.50, which isnt that great. Big gaps in the body of the tank. Will stick with plastic soldiercompany I think, just wanted a couple of cheap little tanks for some One Hour Wargamery.

TimW, if you go to scummy Bridlingtonia, there's also Copeland (?) Model shop on Lauriston Rd (?) off the main drag opposite the water park. All sorts of lovely plastic in there.

Purps, we’re not all international Gigelos with yachts who can afford to shop at Wargames Foundry. Three of their tiny guns cost the same as almost all the property in the North West!
