So, dark lace it is. I've actually concluded that the silver-ish rendering is simply there as a graphic convention to illustrate the detail in the lighter depiction.

I reckon, it would have looked great in silver. Of course, harper would have shot his Rupert with a volley gun with silver lace whilst they were hiding in ambush.
