E minor pentatonic.

I like the look of the 12mm plastic WW2 from Victrix. I am wondering if it will fit in with Pendraken as Victrix tend to be dead on and Pendraken a little large.

My advice is to avoid detail. 6mm and 10mm with all the twiddly bits look lovely in photos, but you may end up taking ages to paint stuff which can't be seen at wargames distances.

Yeah, I moved into 10mm Napoleonics for a while then ran out of steam. EB is right about the scale thing from a wargames distance, you have to paint almost as much detail as 15mm but then the effect is lost. However, Austrians always look good in contrast especially against the dark blue of French and Prussians.

6mm is, coat and cuffs, crossbelts if obvious (like British white and buff ones), trousers, boots, hat, plume, backpack and flesh. Thin brown wash to pich up leather, metal on musket and swords, wood on musket etc. And done.

I was thinking of doing 6mm sometime ago but thought 10mm was better - silly me.

EB is right
(?!?)

When painted by people who know what they're doing, highly detailed 6mm and 10mm figures look amazing. From 2 or more feet away you tend to lose the detail/effect though. GM's 10mm DBNs are a great way to get the best out of very nicely painted smaller figures, because the playing area is small and you get to focus on the detail a bit more.

Not just me tempted by the new Victrix then? I'm intrigued to know what rules they'll put out alongside them. I've played some good 10mm Rapid Fire before.

Could make for one hell of an Ayton game one day.

I'm not sure I've come out of this well.
Yes, we actually can’t take anything you’d say seriously again. Pity that.

I just do 6mm, I find them quick and easy to paint, and I like the effects en masse.
