To quote my vegetarian but not vegan friend...Git!
The Denison have assured me they know what vegan is (as opposed to the old chicken in the veggie curry option) and are getting back to me tomorrow...
Not sure on Walkers yet...

Just have a sausage, nobody will report you to the Vegetable police

Just have some meat for goodness sake!
Seriously though, feel free to do what's best. Don't forget that there are sheep fields full of grass & the river flowing through too.
For us normal people, a couple of unwary strangers were caught last night, they're not quite dead so they should still be fresh for our weekend.

Andy has reminded me that the veggie option in the chippy was pretty dire last year, and worse for vegans (not that anyone cares about vegans). Nevertheless, if Andy can't sort out something vaguely appetising on the Saturday I will join forces with him in a small but perfectly formed breakaway sub group.....and possibly eat at the Denison or the hotel or the petrol station.

That would be a shame, the social aspect at Ayton is what makes it special. I'm presuming the fish restaurant isn't a 'nailed on' venue for saturady? It would be nice to go somewhere that catered for everyone

Most curry houses can accommodate vegans/vegetarians very well.

It's only for the one meal. There will be pub time...

It might only be for a rusty sandwich from the petrol station. That Andy is a skin flint.
We'll have our noses pushed up against the restaurant window while you all stuff dead fish down your necks.
