Hopefully I’ll get off the starting line tomorrow. Currently trying to find the bag of Roman shields that have been clogging up the paint desk for the last two weeks and are now completely elusive.

Talking of Roman shield designs in "Union blue", these ones made my wife laugh when she looked over my shoulder the other day and caught sight of "LEG V - MAC"

I had to explain to her that, despite the colour combination (and the resemblance to the saltire if you squint a bit), "MAC" was short for MACEDONICA.
Incidentally, very impressed with the Victrix Early Imperial Romans box. Never ever been into Ancients, but the figures and the shield designs did make me stop and think.
