My painting of flats has taken a back seat at the moment as I have just bought several hundred Spencer Smith's.

A good start Neil.
How are you going to base them?

Thanks Willz and Mark.
The plan is to use "normal" element sized bases for 25/28mm, so mounted on a 60mm square base, foot on 60x30mm.
I had a big internal debate about what size and initially was looking at larger bases but experiments with cardboard bases led to going for "normal" DBA and derivatives base size; two or four such bases will make an Impetus base.
The likelihood is that any gaming will be solo; if they venture out, I'd consider sabots for protection.
The bases will be textured as if normal wargames bases.

Given the care and work you've lavished on them, I'd consider a cocked and loaded Webley .45, myself.

Actually, the painting has been relatively fast; Contrast paints, water based oil wipe on the bobbos followed by ink washes. Then acrylic highlights to just the high points.
The time consuming bit is the OCD correcting of slips and errors....

My latest SYW unit. I got these as job lot of part painted figures on ebay and decided to finish them off.
They are French figures however I have painted them up as an Imaginations unit. I just need to decide on the Regimental name.
