I thought it was a Leo 2 variant. It could be an Abrams, the photo is awfully small on my phone! Mark?

Well, that's probably a bit harsh.
The regular brigades not stationed in Germany would hopefully have been in position on Day 1, with the reservists arriving over the next couple of days. The Germans also had a division in the Dutch sector in order to maintain some semblance of resistance while the Cloggies moved up.
