H&R were obsessed with scale, Baccus and Adler understand that wargaming figures aren't scale models.

Adler are lovely but too fragile, H&R don't have enough substance to be recognizable from 3ft, Baccus are just right.

The less said about Irregular the better.

Thanks gentlemen, and Baccus for teh win on this project. The strips are just right for how I want to build this out and 1 Company = 1 BN is jut the look I'm after. Now thinking about selling my unpainted GNW and re-orienting the project around 6mm.

First BN done and based.

Those look great Ben, its a huge amount of figures/ battalion though but it really does make them stand out

I'm also intrigued by the based 15mm Napoleonics in the background
Are they stuck down? Meaning do you paint them on those bases rather than in singles on a bottle top or stick/card?

Many thanks.

It does seem like a lot of figures per BN, but they paint so quickly... And the stands are 60x30, so not outside the realm of 28mm bases. Anyway, so much easier than painting ABs, which I love but they take so much time, as they're such great sculpts. I think there's not much difference in time between them and 28s in terms of time sent per figure with my painting style.

Those Napoleonics I the back ground are blue tacked on to bases. I designed a bunch of command vignettes last summer and put them up, load up up as designed. When I think I'm going to paint one of them, I take them out, photograph them and then pull the figures off and fix them to sticks to paint. Then I the build the bases and add them back in as I complete them. There are some pix of all of them in my Napoleonic gallery.
