Ordered another dozen bags of little chaps French- Italian Wars types from H&R. Plus some stand alone commander chappies from Irregular as H&R don't seem to do any. With the Irregular order were the final b&p for my FPW armies -mostly skirmishing and ADC types for commanders.
Started painting the F-I fellows, 2 pike blocks and a unit of gendarmes completed. All in units of three 40x20mm bases.

I have now thoroughly learnt the lesson that I should not take the proverbial out of EB, as it's cost me cold hard cash! Whilst showing Basement Mark pictures of EBs bizarre, polygonal, basing scheme for his 42mm figues (ie essentially laughing and pointing!) my nine year old stuck his head over, attracted by the giggles no doubt, and said he thought that the figures looked really 'cool'.
The upshot being that my most recent purchase is a regiment of 42mm figures for him to paint up......oh the horror!

Getting very tempted by the Gangs of Rome stuff from Footsore and Sarissa. No purchase yet but the pre-order is coincidentally going to be timed for Christmas.

I thought that pitching him into multipart castings might be a bit cruel so I got him a unit of twelve figures (Including command) in pickelhaubes from Irregular. Ian Kay is always a joy to deal with and he very kindly put a couple of extra figures from the range in too as 'incentives'

I'm in on this too...although I have a fair bit of suitable scenery already.....I've even forgiven them for 'nicking' one of my rule mechanics

I thought I'd dip my toe into 3D printed 6mm aircraft for the first time, so ordered a couple via Shapeways. They were due to be delivered yesterday but the package has been on a trip around Europe. So far the UPS track has shown it in,
- Herne-Boernig, Germany
Bologna, Italy
Carpi, Italy
Eindhoven, Netherlands
I'll let you know what they're like when they arrive.
Well it's taken over three days but the package has now arrived in Stanford Le Hope this evening.
