That looks very good.
I’m coming to the same conclusion, very useful for the fantasy stuff and my Orcs may now get completed and the Devil’s Horde is getting started, but it’s not necessarily a quick and easy route, certainly not to get the effect you’ve achieved there.

Of course it's Wellingtonic. The Prussians had a division of them at Waterloo, that's how they won.

Jokes aside, it is a spectacular paint job

It does look very natural. I can see how goopy washes work on something like that. But I don't really get them for the hard edges of uniforms.
Not, that I pretend to knowing much about painting.

Is it a lesser-spotted Hofschroer?

I think its the much rarer greater spotted, ruby breasted Hofschroer.

Thanks for the compliments, just found a lengthy tutorial that really goes in depth about CP and glaze painting in general, with sections on various additives and flow improvers, etc. Useful, though at about 1:40:00 run time, be warned.
Have to say, I learned a few things about pigment-based color theory along the way. In the past, I've taken a straight, white-primer, cisgendered three layer approach to painting, though I'll admit to experimenting with alternative painting lifestyles involving the copious use of inks and even dabbled with wet blending when I was a student. He goes into all sorts of zenithal approaches to primers of colour, and shamelessly adulterating paint with diverse pigments -- with great effects.
