Painting finished:

Now it's magic wash/touch up/varnish and shields - the end is in sight.

I think these will benefit from the 3 foot rule, but:

Definitely a touch up required as I seem to have splashed all over my pilum and tunic.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Those are fine! Wargames figures, not works of art after all.
There is no point in being stupid if you don't show it!

I reckon they look great. And once the shields are attached you won't see much of them when ranked up anyway! I do like the shade effect on the off white tunics.

Nice, I didn't know someone had done the DBA confused general in 28mm.

I can’t remember who made him, I know he was bought quite some time ago when figures were 25mm.

Finally finished, way too many interruptions on this task. Intended as a freshly raised legion, so no chance to get their shields painted yet:

Plus I got the shields finished on the more veteran units:

There's enough there to do the Roman civil wars in Infamy, plus provide ample axe fodder for the Germans. Some skirmishers and mounted troops to do, but they're nearly finished.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.
