My brother in law's brother has just moved out to Oz to join his family, It seems that he's ok for 2 years but then he and his missus have to pass a medical or they'll be shipped back as a burden on the taxpayer. There is no way the fat git is going to get into shape in 2 years.

Is the medical all about fitness? I'd have thought it's more TB, Ebola ………………………...

It's more about how much it's going to cost the health system to keep someone alive. Thin, fit and forty is fine, fat, fiftyish and flatulent might have a problem.

If it's active TB or something similar then a visa isn't happening in the first place.
