Aiming for 5 brigades of foot. And 3 of cavalry. May be less. Won't be more. With assorted guns and jaeger types attached.

4 Brigades of foot and 4 of horse for me, plus the associated artillery and jaegers, etc.
Re: Ayton May 2022 18thC notes and queries
Three brigades of foot, each with a gun. Two of them have attached skirmishers.
One brigade of Horse, attached light horse and a light gun (these latter two only if possible)

I've just done a quick count and I think I can just about manage EB's request of a couple of dozen brigades per side . . . . .
Why us? Cos we're 'ere lad, nobody else.
Re: Ayton May 2022 18thC notes and queries
I'm very much obliged to you all.
Anyone else?
Jezza - you can certainly have a gun with your cavalry brigade, but it will have the same movement restrictions as field guns.
As for the light horse, do you mean mounted skirmishers, or an actual unit of light horse? The latter will mess with the 'three unit' rule so I doubt we'll allow it, but you have other options. Two brigades of two cavalry units? Horribly weak though. You could combine it with someone else's surplus units? We'll know more about numbers in a month or so.

Thanks EB. I’ll drop the light horse and just have one brigade of horse. I’ll drop the light gun on the horse as well (assuming your rules don’t have horse guns?)

The smell of either will make your horses unsteady, of course.
