Oh, and I’ve never owned a set of safety goggles, for any tools. Even angle grinders and electric band saws!
Yeah, if we hadn't told our mate, 'Stumpy', he didn't neet protective equipment when using his chainsaw, we'd still be calling him 'Kevin'.

My goggles have a scratch across the left eye where a garnet about 5mm in diameter came off the core saw and ricocheted off them. Been a bit careful about goggles ever since.

I don’t think people should wear PPE.
Or seatbelts.
Also, they should smoke, run with the bulls, and do parkour.
Then, whilst in hospital, they can take advantage of the opportunity to participate in a wide and interesting range of clinical trials.

If you'd been trolling round the wards asking me to donate semen to the minotaur breeding programme, I'd have taken my leg off to Santiago by taxi.

You joke, but I have a wargames mate in SA who, when I left, went by the name of Peter. I found out recently that he has subsequently been renamed Five Finger Freddy by all my other mates after a serious bandsaw incident. I came to the rather unsurprising conclusion that my mates are heartless bastards.

I did hear someone once suggest that the finest safety device you could fit in a car was a large metal spike situated in the centre of the steering wheel and pointed straight at the driver's chest. Gets my vote.

But look at it this way - I’m saving you the bother of having to shag the cow.
Glass half full, eh?
(As I say to the donors.)

Half full! At my age, I'm stretching to half fill a shot glass!

I don’t know. After two or three half pints of cider I reckon Grizz would ‘ave a go!
