Hastati of the Allied Italian Legion. Figures by Aventine Miniatures, shield transfers from LBM and bases from Warbases as ever.

The first bases of the Principes for the Allied Italian Legion have been finished. Four more are ready for basing, leaving 12 to complete the Legion's second element. Interest seems to be waning, as it does of course, but I'll continue with the updates until the Legion is completed.

They are allied to the Republican Romans.

The Principes for the Allied Italian Legion have been completed. Figures mostly from Aventine, augmented by a few Matt sculpted for Agema Miniatures. The latter, although more slight in stature, fit in really well with the former. As ever, shield transfers from LBM and bases from Warbases.

The whole Republican Roman army, to date, drawn up for battle on the table here in GHQ.

Only two legions, - so not a Consular army then :) But my goodness that looks great. Very nice work.
