Actually, I rather like the yellowing. It gives a pleasing patina. I've seen quite a few of Peter Gilder's old units which have developed a very pleasant yellowy look.

I don't think I'll get that with marine varnish.

I'm not sure I could ignore that lot demanding to be painted.

What varnish will you use?

I don't think he wants to admit he will be using marine poly.

I doubt that I will get to that stage this weekend. Today's plan has gone to rat shit. We've been having our drive replaced and ended up with about a ton and a half of surplus golden gravel. The Memsahib says"We can use some of that in the back garden." So I've just hand bashed half a ton of the stuff about 50 feet. My shoulders know all about it and I can't hold a brush steady yet.

We've given the surplus to our neighbour, the contractors were impressed by just how quickly Ivan and his mother in law could shift a ton of gravel. You can't fault Eastern Europeans for their work ethic.

I get on well with some but the Nazdregg Yellow is utterly suite.

I've got iyanden yellow and its pretty nice
