If Purps was a 40K character, would he be the Purple Nurple?

True story about Nissen huts. They offer no protection against artillery but on the plus side they aren't solid enough to detonate an impact fused shell. Summer 1974 Nicosia airport. An ex cadet mate of mine was part of a Para Engineers detachment, finishing work for the day they found their hut in a right mess. At first they thought it had been looted but then they found the holes. A 105mm shell had gone straight through it.
The airport took a bit of a battering during the invasion, the RAF detachment lost its Land Rover to a strafing run from a Turkish F4 but as good, resourceful airmen they nicked the one that the Ministry of Public Buildings & Works had abandoned, resprayed it and swapped number plates. It was over a year before they were rumbled.
