The great rebasing on Steel is afoot.
I’ve never been happy with my basing. One of the things I admire with a lot of you guys 18th century collections is the consistency you have throughout and mine wasn’t good in that aspect.

So now on thin steel on threes for basing ease/multi rule use. And going for that Gilderesque kind of textured look with no flock. Not everyone’s taste but as I paint simple and bright I think it suits them.

So, this should be all done ready for 2038.

Very smart, I love the SYW period for looks,but cannot face the scale of it these days.
