AB are really on a class of their own. Do MiniFigs not tickle you?
No, the appeal is doing it in AB's, but need more than just french vs austrians to make it worthwhile for me.

OG15 are ok to pad out your armies. Some of the poses are dire. The Brunswickers were awful in terms of sculpting detail.

Yeah, I only had their mixed artillery/Avant-Garde pack, but they were pretty horrible. The pack mix also meant that you had not enough enough Avant-Garde to represent them at 1:20, but WAAAY too many for 1:50...

Campaign Games Miniatures aren't bad (despite getting a rough ride initially when trying to trumpet themselves as "more than a match for AB"), but I don't know if they do any of the troops Fred wants. There's also the two Spanish companies Xan and Warmodelling (or are they the same, I get confused), but again I'm not sure that they cover the relevant period/army.

CGM do not go early enough for me.
It is a case of bite the bullet and accept only french vs austrians. Hmmm wonder if I can find a sculptor to match ABs even close'ish.

Is it too late for me to pimp my half price stock of CGM's 1815 range? Thought not.

Only Dutch Belgian cavalry & artillery and British & Brunswick artillery left. Time to bulk out the lead mountain.

Somebody mentioned Battle Honours
I bought a lot of ACW from battle honours and they were good value. I got them from
https://oldglory15s.com/Battle-Honors_c5.htm
A word of warning though, they do them in large packs and the Napoleonic figures were awful with moulds having worn out though - that was a few years ago, not sure if its changed
I think old glory do some nice figures but some poses can be naff - I do like some of my Duchy of Warsaw in particular and the Spanish weren't too bad. The biggest problem with OG is horseflesh, I think they're awful and I'll never buy another cavalry figure from them. The other problem is faces, they are more like faeces
Nothing beats AB and I'll never buy anything else these days - that has to be qualified though by the fact that I've now amassed an huge collection of 15mm Napoleonics from all sorts of manufacturers over the years and therefore do not have to baulk at the cost of collecting large numbers to build an army
I'll try and add some pictures to illustrate but many of them are on my old photofuckit page

See my earlier comment about Mike Hickling refusing to sell only horses to customers because they were using them to mount OG cavalry figures. I had several arguments with Russ Dunawaywith on "The Other Site" about the Blue Moon horses - principally along the lines of "has your sculptor ever actually seen a real one?" as the poses ranged from cartoony (those were the better ones - think "Bullseye" from "Toy Story") to downright physically impossible.
