That’s one comfy painting chair :o

I was getting back into a strong painting mode but I’ve got to walk 6 miles in pouring rain to get a very specific French takeaway meal. La vie est.

I got bored painting Ancients, I was getting sloppy. So now I’m painting FJ and my enthusiasm is renewed.

Things might have been different if only someone had said "Gazpacho is meant to be eaten cold!"

Does that mean it's French for "revenge"?

Well it was certainly bracing!
But:
Soupe de poisson -fish soup, 3 grated cheeses, croutons and rouille sauce.
Paleron de Bœuf braisé - Slow-braised Aberdeen Angus featherblade with beef gravy, mushroom, carrots and Gratin Dauphinois.
Plum and apple Clafoutis with crème anglaise.

Is now safe and secure in the fridge and ready for re-heating tomorrow.
Bon appetite :moredrink:

Are going to commence with an aperatif followed by a different wine for each course and then a little digestif to finish off with.

An excellent idea, although perhaps limit the wine to 2 bottles? We wouldn’t want to spoil the Calvados digestif.
