January hmmmm... do'able I guess. Though having seen some of the work around here I won't be winning any painting awards :) Not unless there's a peculiarly specific category in which I am the only entrant.

And I would like to encourage terrain pieces in a 'terrain modelling' category.

Well I'll be entering the 20mm figure and vehicle comp if that helps?

Will the painting comp be something along the lines of Gobbo Week? Photo beforehand of the unpainted figure and then people can put up photos of their progress to encourage/discourage their competitors?

If the Wi-fi in the new house is up to it, I’ll run a game or two virtually. Of something.

I wasn’t thinking of doing that as it’s not a ‘show’ format - it’s specific to Gobbo/Dwarf Week and it was a good format, I could see that taking off for other periods/styles next year. I think this is just a straight-forward “put up your best painted figure/unit/thing“ - but I will rule that it can only be something you’ve started from 1st November (and my ruling is final unless challenged :) )

Oh, and any new amendments will appear in italics in the overall show ‘rules’ at the start of this thread.
I get lockdown, but I get up again.

Happy with newly painted figures - it’s what I was trying to get at without overtly calling GM a jammy dodger when he rolls out that tired old Marder of his. It’s like an ageing child movie star. The Macaulay Kulkin of WW2 tank destroyers
