It depends when in the family. A twin woman is far less likely to have twins, but her daughter is more likely to. And her sons won't have any.

Apparently, it's just how it goes.
And they still wouldn't have twins, they do it all the time in Norfolk and there's no twins there. But there are multiple mutants.

When I lived in the US, there was a case of a doctor who ran a fertility clinic - he would sit down with prospective clients, go through the whole donor selection spiel with them. Having done so, whether they'd selected a six-foot harvard graduate or a gay ginger scotsman, he'd just nip into the back room and smash out a dishonourable discharge.

I seem to recall a similar story of a fertility clinic in The Netherlands (rather appropriately) where the same thing happened. Wasn't there a book/TV programme/newspaper interviews with people who suddenly discovered they had an unfeasible number of siblings?
