Good find, I used to visit Hay on Wye several times a year in the 70 / 80's and found some good military books.
As pointed out they don't have many bargains these days.

As mentioned, the Old Cinema Bookshop is still excellent. I always come out of there with a carrier-bag (or three) full.

Some buildings I've been working on for a farm setting in the SYW range. There's a bit more about them on the blog as you'd anticipate.

I very much enjoyed your discussion of building scale & footprints on your blog.
Someone - maybe Featherstone?- used to use 6 or 10mm buildings for his 1/72 scale figures. He'd make a perfect little town model of 6-8 buildings, a city wall etc & argue that the footprint was about correct. Amazingly, although it sounds as if it would look odd, it looked great.

Thanks Donald. I have a feeling that might have been Grant senior.

Excellent! Yes, we used 'N' Gauge model railway buildings for the AB Figures demo games:

Splendid piccies, RMD. Very arty farty.

And a splendid unit, Penda. I very much echo your 'vague aspirations' - a childlike sense of fun, and paint for the table. Fortunately, being childish comes easily.........painting for the table, not so much.
