I *think* I read somewhere that Fred. the G. gave his civilian contractors blue coats?

Of course none of this has much practical use. In my scale, it's hard/impossible to get period limbers & limber horses are hard to acquire*.
As for civilian limber riders - whether in part uniform or all in civvies- just forget it!

* I may have tracked down a 3D printer-guy who is interested in printing the 30-40 limber horses I need.
I look forward ro seeing what he comes up with.

Hopefully a 3D printer may be able to fill a lot of the holes in your collection, mate. I got another reply from Jean-Louis about French drivers, and permission to use the images:

As for #d stuff - it depends on if files have been created. The SYW isn't exactly more popular than Space-fantasy demon marines, so I'm not expecting much in the way of specialised items.

I'll ask Tim about availability, Donald. He's right into 3D printing and is active in more periods than anyone else I know. If there's .stl files for limber horses he'll be able to tell me.

30 horses for $105 (inc P&P) - not bad. I'll need to wait a fewweeks as he has a backlog of 32mm Space-going Ogre-marines to complete - his usual trade, evidently.

I'd be tempted to ask for a test print, mate, to make sure the order will be printed to the right size range for you. Tim casts for himself and the occasional freebie for mates, and always does a test cast first to make sure the figures are printing to the right size, heads aren't exaggerated (apparently that can be a problem when printing figures at a larger scale), he's scaled the file correctly, etc. I haven't looked at 3D printing (sick of technology), but I do know from mates' experiences that scaling the files is where a lot of issues pop up.

There was a pair of shorts I ordered online that were a bit big, but no matter. We use them as a two-man tent when we go camping.

He lives in some place called, implausibly, Adelaide? Near Sydney or Melbourne?
But I have seen the work he did for my friend - 1/72 Reconquista figures, including cavalry horses. Very nice.
I gave him some measurements & links to select 1/72 plastic artillery sets for reference.

I think if they do end up being awful, he'll be open to criticism.

Have you lost weight? Michelle bought me a couple of polo shirts online. Same size, different companies- and only one came close to fitting.

If you gave him the sizes it should be OK. Adelaide is a nice little town. I prefer it to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth (except in mid-summer, when 40°C is a cool day).
