Excellent Simon and that's a shame Gary!
As discussed i'll be Kumbayahing it up on the Saturday and VBCWing on the Sunday if that works OK for you GM?

AVBCW has never grabbed me (despite looking at figures and planning what I might do) so I'll definitely be passing on Day 1 and doing something yet to be decided... Not sure on Day 2 yet. May join in. May do something different again...
This thread is now sticky!

Simon, I'm happy to do day 1 and possibly day 2 as well (if no progress made on my Trojan Rampant stuff).

Great that the Jezza's are returning! I'm guessing they never met Gaynor this round?
Sorry for your tragic circumstances Gary. Though having survived my first year of wedded "compromise" with the scars to prove it I fully understand your plight. Hopefully see you in Fram?

sorry to hear you can't make it Gary - can't you buy yourself a pass by buying some new horses (1:1 scale) ?
looks like we have more than enough players to make the VBCW game viable. It'll be a 2 day game with the option for players to drop in for a single day or less. I think Tim W is doing the Africa game on the Saturday so it is likely that the bigger VBCW game will be on the Sunday. I'll start a new thread specifically for organising all this soon.

Gary, I have a cunning plan for the next time I put our areas game on, which will likely be next year...
Burghley Horse Trials weekend!
I’ll base it in Stamford and then all wives have got a horse festival, country show, boutique shops, Rutland water, decent hotels and fine dining.
It’s likely to cost you all dearly but is another wargaming date!

My wife would love that idea! Horses, horses and more horses

Nice idea Purps, but she'd want to go to Burghley which means I'd be at home looking after our horses and dogs
Whilst on the subject, and this may be sacreligious, what's the chances of moving Ayton away from a bank holiday - at least from 2020? The journey this time on both the Friday and, to a lesser extent, home on Monday was horrific. I know I can't make next year anyway but I'd really like to come to future ones. It'd be a lot easier for both travel and 'wife management' if it were a weekend in, say, April (other than Easter).
Any thoughts?

The date of the Ayton weekend bothers me very little, but I'm retired.......have I mentioned that I'm retired?
I can't do a weekend falling on the school holiday though.
I found the traffic really bad this year - the worst of any year I've attended.
