I won't be shinying my 19th century figs but I'm sure the Swans and Austrians will look good when you guys do them.
A wise head on young shoulders.

I do like a bit of shiny.
This is the formulation I prefer.
I use 2 coats and find that gives a lovely finish .
A good coat of gloss varnish will transform you dull, matt, colorless figures into shiny beauties. Use natural light to highlight your figures rather than complex multi layered paint highlighting.
I also understand that it works on figure scales and periods other than 20mm Napoleonic.
I'll pick some up today and have a go with it, currently had ok success with humbrol but it can yellow a bit.
Also want to try the plasticote spray if I can find it.
I have some individually based Marlburians 25mm Irregular figures gloriously glossed from years ago that would be perfect for AGW. Might have to add sone Frenchies.

I've just been sorting through the plastic Spencer Smiths for shiny AWI and the forces will need balancing up. I've read that Washington never wanted more than 100 riflemen in the army. I've got 127. TheIr principle opposition are grenadiers & light bobs.

Tribal warfare. Lots of really pretty shields.
