Of course it was.
In 74 I was 17 and went on an Inter rail ticket around Europe with 2 mates. After a week they went home. For the next 3 weeks I travelled all over Europe on my Todd.
On the way home I went to Les Invalides and visited Waterloo.
74 was not bad. The long hot summer of 76 was better though.
