But then Lincoln probably wasn't the best place to study the effect of sunlight on anything. Of course, now you've moved to God's Own County, things may change.......

In an argument advanced against daylight saving here a number of years ago, it was rejected because the extra hours of sunlight would fade the curtains.
I'm not making this up.

I think there was also the argument that the cows would get confused.. you can always tell a Queenslander, you just can;t tell them much.

The cows don't have watches so they won't be down to the barn for milking on time.
And there were rumours of a daylight tax grab on people's daylight saving.
Queensland still doesn't do daylight saving, do they Ocho?
