Anal?
You think so?
I would have gone for "methodical", but your call.....
Oh yes, that’s the word I wanted
Another bit I love is the project planning. I spent almost all of yesterday exhuming my 1544 project (Henry VIII’s invasion of France, ridiculously incompetent but the costumes are gorgeous dahling). A ton of figures, a sizeable part pro-painted by Dags, now being re-ordered into better storage, three rule systems being reviewed for use (I’m liking ‘Fat and Furious’, a F&F rip-off, but maybe the Lion Rampant/Pikeman’s Lament is safer to stick with?), two scenarios to cast up and see how quickly I could produce them, a project plan for the painting, sorting the computer folder into a better order and contemplating another TAG order for their new leader figures , consulting the basing stockpile ........ooooh, it’s heaven
And all this before I’ve cleared the current painting backlog

I've always wondered why sculptors are so keen on the 1544 invasion, in contrast to the near-totally neglected (and much more successful - or at least more competently organised) 1513 version. Redoubt and TAG spring instantly to mind with 1544 ranges, but only the Gnomes of Catterick (ie Dixon) has produced a 1513 range - and then for Flodden, rather than The Spurs.

I am a fan of the planning but myself. As well as kanbans I’m now using the excellent miro whiteboard and post it note software

The best part is when you've "finished" a unit (not varnished or terrained the base yet) & set it up to look at.
