It looks like it's meant to represent an Iberian falcata. Apparently much favoured in the 2nd Punic War by Hanibal, so why not by a Republican Roman general? Anyway, it's a toy in a game, so let's not get too intense.

Very nice stuff. I am quite envious. Especially as I have a ton of Carthaginian and Republican Romans to paint.
