you don't have to have vehicles but you are allowed enough unarmoured transport for your whole force. So if trucks this would be one per section and a car or similar for the HQ. Of course you could choose horses or carts or nothing at all - walking won't be a disadvantage. If you look at the very first post in this thread it shows the details. Two platoons is quite a strong force - the standard is one. So thats fine but you may find there are some scenario limitations (your troops are lower quality for example)

North Yorkshire's Finest must be regulars at a minimum, you could handicap them with some sort of digestive disorder though.

I’m sure North Yorkshire’s finest are very good indeed. We are discussing Peelers forces here though...

Mind your lip sonshine! I think I may have overbought at Fiasco then, darn it. I'll paint the police platoon first & see how we go. I might do the others so we can mix & match if needed maybe. Or not.

Don’t worry it’s fine - most likely the civilians would be very unreliable and the rozzers more regular.

Since it’s getting to that time when people may be putting there forces together remember to check back to the beginning of this thread for force org etc. In particular the following paragraph.
“the basic unit is the platoon (see below for force org guidelines). The idea will be that a player who only brings a single standard rifle platoon won't feel disadvantaged or have any less fun. If this is a project for you and you want to bring more units (say up to a company) or special units then that’s fine but there will be features in the scenario that balance it up. As a guide - the stronger on paper your idea seems then the more it will have limitations (e.g. ammo shortages, mechanical breakdowns or in extreme circumstances you'll be made to use Purple's dice). Special units should really be aimed at adding colour and variety rather than increasing fighting potential.“

fun day yesterday with LT and Purps having a first run out with the rules. As LT says on the other thread - the rules will definitely work but will need some better play sheets.
One thing you all need to be aware of - this is a D10 based game. You'll need at least 10. 20 would be useful. D10s from China on eBay are the way to go. Also having a couple of colours are handy because you are often in the situation of firing - say - 9 riflemen needing 7s and the NCO needing 6s.

Here's a snippet to assist character development for anyone who wants to use a BUF force.
Oswald Mosley once bumped into a friend after he had a row with his wife.
"I was so provoked that I told her the names of all the women I had slept with."
"What, all of them?"
"Well, all except her sister and her stepmother. "
