For those contemplating which P&S "theme" to go with, bear in mind that - for good or bad - ECW will severely limit the choice of troop types to foot (pike and shot in various combinations, or just shot), horse (essentially either unarmoured or armoured - the latter including Lobsters), dragoons and artillery. With 80YW or 30YW, you get all of the above, plus all the types Tim H listed. In short, there is greater scope for Imagi-nations in 80YW or 30YW, but an ECW-style game will be easier to control in terms of troop types.

Don't forget Irish & hie'landers, but yes, there will be more variety in a TYW context.

I think the biggest problem will be deciding on the size, organisation and basing of units. I'd put money on there being vastly different ideas on that sort of thing.

I agree that GM has the constitutional right to agree with LT’s agreement with Iain

Perhaps everyone could choose their own way to base units and then EB could choose each different system one after another.

My forces started as skirmish bands for witchunting games (variant on Sharp Practice) and kinda grew as I realised how much I loved the figures and painting them.

Yep agree. Does P&S have the same principles as BP where unit size and basing doesn't really matter ? A very flexible ruleset like that would be helpful.
